South Vern Adventurer's Tome Guide - Lost Ark Guide - IGN (2024)

Like other zones, Lost Ark’s South Vern area is complete with its own Adventurer’s Tome and with it, various rewards if you’re willing to grind out the items for them.

Here is what you can look forward to in South Vern’s Adventurer’s Tome.

What is the Adventurer's Tome?

The Adventuer's Tome (viewed by hitting the 'N' key) is an at-a-glance collection of nearly everything a continent has to offer, from its dungeons to the collectibles. The more you explore and collect, the more rewards you can earn, depending on the percentage completed. There's an Adventurer's Tome for each continent, but they are roster wide, so you only have to complete them on one character. 100% Completion will earn you the region's Ignea Token - the rarest of rewards - which can be exchanged at Ignea Token Exchanges in major settlements.

South Vern's Adventurer Tome follows the same formula as the others: You can fill out the tome by completing the following tasks:

• Completing the Main Quests, Dungeons, and Hidden Areas
• Killing Specific Monsters and Bosses, always named in the Tome
• Searching for collectibles, interacting with vistas, and using chefs to prepare food

South Vern Adventurer's Tome Rewards

As you complete the South Vern Adventurer's Tome, you recieve a reward for reaching each threshold. The full rewards are:

10% Complete: Elemental HP Potion

Your first reward will be an HP Potion, which will restore 60% of your max HP. You’ll likely already have a few of these lying around by the time you finally reach South Vern, but you can never have too many either, especially if you intend to try all of Lost Ark’s Endgame activities.

20% Complete: Haiger Card

A more appealing reward will be the Haiger card, modeled after Vern’s Grand Secretary. Cards are rosterwide collectibles that can be used to provide bonuses when used to create decks. Many endgame activities become much more manageable if you set the proper cards beforehand, so you should always be on the lookout for more.

30% Complete: Courage Potion

The Courage Potion in the next tier of rewards will increase the Courage stat by ten points. Many NPCs you can talk to for rewards in the game’s Rapport system will require your Courage to be at a minimum rank to talk to them; if you’re a little short, Courage Potions like this can give you the boost you need to interact with them.

40% Complete: Necromancer’s Records

Similar to the previous reward, you’ll sometimes need to give NPCs gifts to increase their rapport rank with you. The Necromancer’s Records is one such gift. By gifting items and completing quests for your preferred NPC, you can earn rewards such as gold or the rare Skill Point potion.

50% Complete: Secret Map

Once you’re halfway through the tome rewards, you’ll receive the Secret Map. This will unlock the Adventure: Snow Sled quest, allowing you to search for the mythical item using only the small map fragment as a clue. Sail towards Feiton in the northwest of the Open Sea, and you’ll find the area on the map near Cold Cradle. After a quick search, you'll be able to pick up the Snow Shed .

60% Complete: Masterpiece #49

Beyond Tier 50 is where you’ll find more extravagant rewards that are definitely worth the effort; Masterpiece# 49 is one of various pieces of art you can collect throughout the game. You can then turn these in to Alfonso on Sunflower island for rewards like emotes, titles, and cards.

70% Complete: Candaria Trade Company’s Invitation

The Candaria Trade Company’s Invitation will actually begin another quest, though you will have to complete the pre-requisite quest, “Into the Fire”, before you can start it. This is thankfully not a hidden quest or a pre-requisite for any other quests, so you don't panic if you haven't gotten this far into the Adventurer's Tome yet.

80% Complete: Lunar Knight’s Token

The Lunar Knight’s Token is another Rapport Gift item, similar to the Necromancer’s Records you received earlier in the tome. This item, however, is much more rare and harder to acquire, so be certain of you've chosen the right NPC!

90% Complete: Velyonar Magick Core

One of the more intriguing rewards is the Velyonar Magick Core, a structure that can be set up in your Stronghold. If you build it, you’ll be able to craft bombs slightly faster and with a higher chance of a great success. Because Battle Items such as bombs are a great boon when dealing with groups of enemies, the Magick Core is a worthwhile item to work towards.

100% Complete: Ignea Token: South Vern

Finally, once you’ve fully completed South Vern’s Adventurer Tome, you’ll be rewarded with its Ignea Token. Ignea Tokens can only be earned by fully completing a Tome, but with them comes the best rewards such as stat/skill potions, titles, and mounts.
