If you want to solve today’s Connections puzzle, you will have to look for the right combinations of words. Today, there are not as many crossover words as there have been in previous puzzles, but that does not mean there’s no challenge. There are still potential pitfalls and traps, and you must decipher what meaning the words convey for this particular puzzle. If you are having trouble doing so, we have all the tips and tricks you need to get you the final victory.
If you like Connections, you will also like the daily Wordle puzzle, which functions similarly. You will be asked to recall the 5-letter words you know as you attempt to deduce what letters go in which positions. Making a good guess with lots of different letters the first time is one way to get to victory, but so is taking your time and figuring out what words make use of those letters.

AT SOME FUTURE POINT | |||
---|---|---|---|
EVENTUALLY | LATER | NEXT | SOON |
This category was fairly straightforward, as there were not many time-related words in today’s puzzle. BYE was perhaps the only word that could be confused on this one. That is partially because this could be seen as a category of “farewells” instead of one that has to do with a point in time in the future. However, once you figure out it is not farewelled, the category should be easy to solve. LATER and SOON are the easiest to spot, followed by EVENTUALLY and SOON.

PARTS OF A TOURNAMENT SETUP | |||
---|---|---|---|
BRACKET | BYE | ROUND | SEED |
The good news is that no matter what kind of gaming you like, the terms used in tournament play are fairly standard across the board. I might not like sports ball, but being involved in a card game tournament has made me much more aware of terms like these. Different games have some variance, but ROUND and BYE are commonly used. BRACKET and SEED might not be as universal, but they are pretty close. Perhaps one day, there might even be a Connections tournament to play.

CHEERIO | FLAKE | PEBBLE | PUFF |
As someone who spends a lot of time in the cereal aisle, I found this category fairly obvious. CHEERIOs were one of my favorite snacks growing up, and Frosted FLAKEs continue to be a favorite even now. I never really ate Fruity PEBBLEs or Reese’s PUFFs, but people I knew did and I am well aware of their existence. It was probably all those commercials during kid’s television programming as a kid because I can still remember all the jingles. That is why I was able to solve this category first at the end of the day.

PEACE | SCISSORS | TWO | VICTORY |
While the name for this category is a bit convoluted, what it tries to convey makes sense. There are a lot of different symbols you can make with your hands, but narrowing it down to just two fingers specifically helps. PEACE is probably the most obvious one. Although SCISSORS is part of the infamous game played frequently, and TWO is how people often count - although that is not universal. People symbolize VICTORY in many different ways, but it is the only word left and the one you will feel as you finish the puzzle.
